Bee Busy Wellness Center’s mission is to provide increased access to Quality, Comprehensive Primary and Preventive Medical, Dental and Mental/Behavioral Health Care, addressing disparities among underserved communities, individuals and families without regard to their ability to pay. The vision of Bee Busy Wellness Center is that Houston will become a place where every citizen will achieve optimum health; but where that is not possible, every individual, regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic circumstance,and physical or mental capabilities, will have unfettered access to high quality, life-extending care, free of stigma and discrimination. BBWC is a community health center devoted to meeting the needs of our communities, thus MyBBWC’ s hours of operation are Monday through Friday and include weekends and after hours. BBWC is dedicated to serving all people who are insured or uninsured with low cost medical care to, placing special emphasis on individual and/or family healthcare needs. PURPOSE The purpose of Bee Busy Wellness Center is to increase access to Quality, Comprehensive Primary and Preventive Health Care and to provide education and resources to improve the health care status of underserved and vulnerable populations. QUALITY COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT Bee Busy Wellness Center demonstrates its commitment to providing the highest quality of care to patients through the implementation of its Quality Assurance Department. The quality compliance department is a distinct unit within BBWC with primary responsibilities in four key areas: patient safety, risk management, quality assurance and regulatory affairs. CLINICAL QUALITY The Bureau of Primary Healthcare, the Federal Administrator of Health Care Programs for Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), has developed a partnership with the Joint Commission that encourages Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) to align themselves with Joint Commission standards of care and administration. They have established standardized measures of quality in select patient populations including diabetes, asthma and cardiovascular disease.
